After learning so much about this miraculous tree from the book, Braiding Sweetgrass, I was inspired. Looking out of my window from my studio, there they were, a small bunch of cedar trees that once went unnoticed. But, nevermore will that be the case. Cedar is one of the three sacred medicines. Cherished by our indigenous peoples for thousands of years. Known for clarity and protection. Literally cradling humans from their birth to their death.
A portion made from these earrings will be donated to help the communities in Alaska that have just been hit by a typhoon.
