This necklace was inspired by my grandmothers handmade flying geese quilt that I recently got to experience again. I learned that the triangles face different directions to signify the geese flying north and south. A very welcome sight after a long winter is to see the geese return, letting us know that warm weather is coming soon.
These are handmade. Cut, soldered, filed and polished. They have the telltale signs and characteristics of being handmade such as, tiny scratches that I couldn’t file out.
This necklace hangs from an 18” decorative sterling silver chain. The pendant is about 1.5” long.
